Trust Wallet Drained? Trace Stolen Crypto on BSC & Multi-Chain

Trust Wallet hacked on BNB Chain, Ethereum, or other networks — first steps, BscScan documentation, and how to trace stolen BEP-20 tokens with a structured case file.

Trust Wallet is multi-chain — pick the right explorer

Trust Wallet shows one interface but assets live on separate chains. A drain on BNB Smart Chain appears on BscScan, not Etherscan. Always match the network shown during the loss.

  • BSC / BNB Chain → bscscan.com
  • Ethereum → etherscan.io
  • Base → basescan.org
  • Solana → solscan.io (different address format — base58)

First 60 minutes

  • Revoke token approvals on the affected chain (revoke.cash for EVM; not for BSC-only tokens without switching network).
  • Copy every outbound tx hash and destination address.
  • Move remaining assets to a new wallet — new seed on a clean phone if key compromise is suspected.
  • Ignore Trust Wallet “recovery” DMs — official support will never ask for your seed.

BSC-specific notes

BNB Chain drains often involve BEP-20 tokens and PancakeSwap routes before CEX deposits. See our BNB Chain trace guide for BscScan workflow.

  • Document BNB gas sent to enable sweeps.
  • Look for labeled Binance hot wallet deposits — include deposit tx hash in Binance abuse forms.

Trace with Tracefunds

  • Select the correct chain on tracefunds.app/analyze (BNB, Ethereum, Base, etc.).
  • $20 incident report — fund-flow graph and verification checklist.
  • $5 single_tx — one suspicious hash if the drain was a single sweep tx.

Coinbase Wallet vs Trust Wallet

Coinbase Wallet is a different app with its own support channels. This guide is for Trust Wallet (Binance-owned mobile wallet). For Coinbase exchange theft, see report-stolen-crypto-to-exchange.

Honest limits

  • Tracing does not guarantee Binance or other exchanges will freeze funds.
  • Cross-chain bridges require continuing the trace on the destination network.
